Minton Majolica holly & misletoe Christmas pitcher

Object Description

Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features holly and mistletoe with a branch handle. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, brown, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, ’16 580′.

Object Condition

Good. Slight wear to exterior. KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application to cobalt ground; glaze run to the ochre and cobalt glazes. RESTORATION. Filled chip to foot rim. Two retouched flakes to rim.
