Object Description

Minton Secessionist No.71 jardinière. Stylized flowers and leaves decorated with olive green, red and ochre glazes. Green tube lining. Red and cream ground. Yellow interior. Three stilt marks to underside, along with printed maker’s mark ‘MINTONS LTD NO.71’, impressed ‘MINTONS’ and date cipher for 1907.

Object Condition

Generally good. No cracks. Two hairlines to underside. Some wear to interior and exterior. Staining to base interior. Kiln effects: glaze run to the exterior; pool of olive green glaze to base interior. Large restored chip and a restored flake to rim.
