A charming and finely executed Italian miniature piano, this decorative piece is crafted from premium materials, including solid sterling silver and richly veined malachite. The vivid green hues of the malachite top lend a striking contrast to the precious metalwork beneath.
Silver forms the entire body of the piano, showcasing meticulous casting and attention to fine detail. While much of the surface is finished with warm gilding, select sections are intentionally left in silver, drawing attention to the intricate swirling designs that adorn them.
The hinged malachite lid opens to reveal a discreet storage compartment, with its interior elegantly lined in soft green fabric. Stamped with ‘800’ to indicate the purity of the silver, the piece also bears the maker’s mark ‘1125 MI’, confirming its Milanese origin.
