A modern Moira pink sapphire rose brooch and earrings suite, comprising a rose brooch, with pavé set pink sapphire petals, edged with old-cut diamonds, with an old-cut diamond in the centre, with pink plique à jour enamel leaves, with old-cut diamond set centre veins, mounted in gold, onto an old-cut diamond set stem, in silver-upon-gold, signed MOIRA and numbered 5503, with a double pin, with a matching pair of rose earrings, with pavé set pink sapphire petals, edged with eight-cut diamonds, with a round brilliant-cut diamond in the centre, mounted in gold, with clip back fittings, with dropping posts.
Moira’s eponymous collection was inspired by clients searching for unusual jewellery that just couldn’t be sourced anywhere. Influenced by nature itself, Moira put together a collection representing the forms of flora and fauna, employing what are now rare traditional setting techniques, old-cut stones and enamel in its various styles. The plique à jour method resembles rich stained glass. These romantic pieces are set to become the heirlooms of the future.
