Object Description

Morris & Co. A monumental set of fourteen Arts & Crafts oak dining chairs.

These chairs were designed in the offices of Richard Norman Shaw probably designed by William Richard Lethaby, one of the founder members of The Arts & Crafts Movement. Morris & Co made and retailed variations of this model.

The whole set has been restored, each chair gently knocked apart, all the joints cleaned, glued, re-assembled and clamped for 36 hours for the glue to set, then all cleaned and waxed. The set is now ready for the upholstery of your choice.
