Natural Royal Blue Burmese sapphire and diamond ring. Set with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Royal Blue Burmese sapphire to centre with an approximate weight of 7.23 carats in an open back double claw setting, flanked by two outward pointed kite shape step cut diamonds in open back claw settings with an approximate combined weight of 2.00 carats, to an elegant tapered form with fluted claws, an openwork gallery and intricate pierced backholing, flanked by inward tapered shoulders leading to a solid D-shape shank. Tested platinum, circa 1960s, accompanied by Gemresearch Swisslab (GRS) report #2014-037043, and Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) report #74182.
