Object Description

A fine Near Eastern terracotta jar featuring a globular body which slightly tapers in at the base. The shoulders also slope inwards towards the cylindrical neck which leads to the wide mouth with a folded rim. Fine horizontal ridges are visible across the lower section of the body and the base created from the potters wheel. Earthly encrustations visible on interior and exterior.
