Object Description
A finely rendered Near Eastern Western Asiatic finger ring modelled in gold, and featuring a circular loop and a rosette-shaped bezel, rendered through gold granules. Fine wirework enriches the ring to either side of the bezel. Rosettes were a popular decorative motif applied on jewellery across many ancient civilisations. Similar gold rings, with rosette-shaped bezels, have been recovered from the ancient region of Bactria, dating to the Hellenistic period. Closest UK ring size: H.
