Object Description
This good quality George II silver gilt counter box and counters was made C1750 and is beautifully engraved around the top and bottom with the screw off lid also being engraved with a flower head and stippling, inside there are 71 gilded gaming tokens with George III head to one side and a shield to the other which says in memory of the good old days 1788 around the border. The box itself weighs 2.00 ounces or 62 grams and is in excellent condition with the gilding now a pale lemon in colour.
