Object Description
This nice quality George II silver chalice was made in London in 1757 by Thomas Whipham and Charles Wright and measures 8 5/16 inches tall by 4 inches in dia across the top and base, the base is stepped leading into a baluster stem which in turn leads in to a plain flared bowl with the original engraved inscription DD SARAH J. MUSSON HUJUS EC NUPER REC : SORER 1758 – the chalice is in excellent condition and weighs 12.45 ounces or 387 grams.
