Object Description
Late 19th century solid elm stool of a particularly nice shape. Cabriole shape legs with pad feet with nicely turned stretchers. The top is a lovely shape with a saddle shaped seat. I think these were originally “Cock fighting” stools, not very PC these days. This example has 28 stamped underneath and although not stamped that I can see probably by James Shoolbred. Nice colour.
