An Oak Table Box, English, mid 17th Century, with a lovely rich colour and deeply carved to the lid, front and sides with ‘crewelwork’ style designs of flowers, plants and birds; original strap hinges; measures 21 1/2 inches wide, 14 inches deep and 7 inches high.
