Old mine diamond solitaire ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old mine diamond, K colour, VS1 clarity, with a weight of 1.50 carats in an open back rubover setting, to an impressive solitaire design featuring a solid gallery and open backholing, leading to intricately carved shoulders which flow through to a solid grooved shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1880, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report #6442599631.
