Object Description
Oscar Heyman Brothers ruby and diamond dress ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Burmese ruby in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.20 carats, flanked by two cross over rows of tapered baguette cut natural unenhanced rubies in open back rubover settings, twenty two in total with a combined weight of 2.20 carats, further adorned with six round brilliant cut diamonds in open back grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 0.24 carats. The combined approximate ruby weight is 2.45 carats, to a curving cluster design featuring scrolling details, an intricately pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, leading to protruding shoulders and flowing smoothly down to a solid ridged shank. Marked platinum and iridium, numbered ‘36547’, American, circa 1960, accompanied by a Gemmological Certification Services report #80239-50 and an authenticity certificate from Oscar Heyman.
