Object Description

Pair of oval Georgian silkwork embroideries depicting flower posies. The embroideries are worked in silk, on a black silk ground. The embroideries depict a variety of finely worked flowers, including roses with fine thorns. Both are framed in an old, black wooden frames, glass covering and plywood backings.. Dimensions exclude the frame and slip.

Object Condition

Good. One with a few worn patches to the ground. A few wrinkles here and there. No stitch losses. Frames have slight wear.
