Object Description

An Exceptional Quality Pair Of Mid 19th Century, Victorian Period,  Rosewood Library Armchairs Of Extremely Good Proportions, Having Attractive Sheperds Crook Shaped Arms Over Generous Seats, Raised On Elegant Turned And Faceted Legs With Original Porcelain Castors.

This rather impressive pair of mid 19th century library armchairs are of great scale and constructed from extremely good quality rosewood timbers. They date to the early victorian period, with more than a little influence from the preceeding william iv period.

Clearly produced in one of the top london workshops of the time due to the quality of construction and high grade of timber used they would suit a whole variety of speaces around the home, including living room, bedroom, study, entrance hall, landing and many more we are sure.

Most importantly they are extremely comfortable to sit in and very much as fit for purpose as the day they were made. The upholstery and fabric is in excellent condition and have clearly been recently refreshed and all joints etc are solid. They also retain their original porcelain castors.

As with all items which we offer for sale the chairs have been inspected by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers to ensure they are in tip top condition and ready to be placed immediately into the home before being offered for sale.
