A set of Anglo-Japanese cast iron fire insert which shows strong design similarities between Thomas Jeckyll’s work for BBB and E W Godwin for S S and Shorland Manchester under the cape of Ernest Hooper, circa 1880s.
Both slightly different sizes- approx. 2″” difference all round.
Left: Height 36″”, width 22″”, depth: 2″”, height of opening 24 1/2″”, width of opening 19″”.
Right: Height 36″”, width 18″”, depth: 2″”, height of opening 24 1/2″”, width of opening 15″”.
I also have one more in stock the same but a different size.
