Of ovoid form with a pierced ormolu rim, decorated throughout with birds, flowers and foliage, raised on pierced ormolu feet; the enamel Japanese, the ormolu French, late 19th Century.

These exquisite Japanese vases were crafted during the Meiji period, and are notable for their very high quality cloisonné enamel work.
