Object Description

A pair of early 19th century Regency (circa 1820) mahogany hall chairs of fine patina.

This pair of chairs, probably originating from a larger set, are of superb quality mahogany timber consisting of nicely shaped and carved backs with stylised flower and double scroll design with circular painted family crest/coat of arms to the centre with carved C scrolls below.

The solid mahogany seats having a scratch moulding with moulded edge leading down to a front rail with reeded design, the chairs supported by moulded sabre front legs with outswept legs to the back with decorative shape to rear seat rail.

This pair of chairs are in very good condition for age, are of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
