Pair of floral silver vases produced in Qajar Persia
Persian, late 19th Century
Height 27cm, diameter 9.5cm
These fine Persian silver vases are adorned with repoussé and chased motifs. Each vase features a circular foot adorned with repoussé friezes of flowers and birds. The foot of each supports a stem, which in turn supports the flared body of the vase, which is profusely adorned with repoussé and chased designs of foliage, floral sprays, birds, and hearts. The neck of each is similarly adorned, and each features a rim wrought with a continuous border of anthemia.
