Beautiful weighty bronze handles with dancing figures in deep sculpted relief.
French sculptors often worked on decorative projects with furniture designers and architects. Dancers were an extremely popular subject with artists at the time, from Matisse’s “Dance” to the famous decorative panels of the Folies Bergere by Picaud.
Cast bronze, possibly the Silvin foundry in Paris, dating from around 1930.
