Object Description
A fine pair of oval-shaped George II salt cellars with gadroon borders.
They stand on four hoof feet and have gilded interiors.
Made in London in 1758-59 by David Hennell of London (one salt was made in 1758 and one salt in 1759).
This model is illustrated in Percy Hennell’s book on Hennell salt cellars.
They are in excellent condition.
