Object Description

A fine pair of Georgian silver wine coasters which have superbly pierced and engraved sides.
They both bear a contemporary crest to one side and still retain their original woods with their 240-year-old baize underneath.
One coaster is hallmarked on the side and the other near the bottom. They are both in good condition.
One coaster was made in 1778 which bears the mark of Thomas Daniell and the other bears the mark of Robert Hennell. Robert Hennell would have been the maker of both, as Thomas Daniell would have used his mark on one as the retailer.
