Object Description
Pair of gilt bronze and turquoise porcelain candelabra
French, early 20th Century
Height 81cm, width 26cm, depth 26cm
These elegant candelabra, crafted from porcelain and gilt bronze, feature vase-form bodies wrought from porcelain coloured a beautiful shade of turquoise. The bulbous bodies are set on moulded gilt bronze bases, mounted with gilt bronze handles in the form of tied drapes issuing from acanthus leaf mounts, and are surmounted by gilt bronze candelabra heads, each of which issues seven scrolling branches. The porcelain is marked spuriously for Sèvres.
