Object Description
Circa 1870, pair of oak Jacobean style chairs. With a back profusely carved with vine leaves and tree designs, upholstered panel and barley sugar columns. The arm rests are upholstered and have carved grotesque faces at the ends, held in place by barley sugar uprights and the seat is similarly upholstered. It stands on solid oak legs which are united by barley sugar stretchers, finishing on brass and brown porcelain castors.
