Object Description
Circa 1880. A large pair of Meiji period bulbous Imari vases. The flare tops painted with foliate and butterflies on the inside, the bodies with rich painting from top to bottom including all the typical Japanese motifs including birds, cherry trees and prunus blossoms. The vases are in perfect condition.
