A pair of beautifully proportioned late 18th century walnut and giltwood mirrors with original plates. The rectangular frame with giltwood beading and paterae is surmounted by a cresting delicately carved and gilded in openwork and consisting of a central vase with sprays of flowers flanked by two birds picking on the foliage. Vase and birds are supported by a very intricate and interwoven balustrade. The base with a central acanthus leave issuing bellflowers.
An exceptional pair of mirrors in very good condition with a warm patina.
