Object Description
This fine pair of bisque porcelain figures depicts two young, seated women in elaborate nineteenth century clothing with detailed encrusted porcelain frills. One woman appears to be asleep in her Rococo style chair, with a loaf of bread in her hand, her legs folded and resting on a small footstool. The other woman glances down at a cat who appears to be stealing bread from her basket.
Both figures are impressed underside with spurious Sèvres marks.
