Object Description

Pair of Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figures which feature brightly coloured cockerels or roosters, stood on a circular base. Decorated ‘in the round’ – decoration to front and reverse.

Figure 1: Good. KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot and glaze bubbling to the base; touch mark to the head on the reverse. RESTORATION. Filled chip to beak. Retouched flakes to black. Retouched flaking to base in places. Figure 2: Good. KILN EFFECTS: finger print to the reverse. RESTORATION. Retouched flaking in places
