Object Description

A pretty pair of small sterling silver dishes of shell form, each with a shell handle and raised on small hoof feet. Gilt interiors. Suitable for butter or sweets. Engraved to the front with a matching crest.
Weight 197 grams, 6.3 troy ounces.
Tops measure 10 x 11.3 cm.
London 1845/7.

Object Condition

The silver dishes are in good condition. Stamped underneath with a full set of English silver hallmarks dates 1845 and 1847. The gilding is a bit worn. The engravings still have definition with some wear.
