Object Description
Good pair of “Country House” Victorian terracotta planters of oblong shape just removed from a large Victorian country house near Broughty Ferry. These beautiful planters are a great design with the swags and lion heads decoration. They are also very nicely weathered. There is damage to both of them mainly around the base corners but both are structurally sound with no cracks and no inner damage. They are also pretty heavy even empty !!
Please note these are NOT modern reproductions, there was a black and white photograph of the house in the hallway from 1905 where both planters could clearly be seen at the front of the house exactly from where I removed them.
