Object Description
Circa 1860, pair of mid Victorian figured walnut, marquetry-inlaid pier cabinets. The rectangular tops have mirror matched figured veneers over a frieze with marquetry inlay in exotic woods. It has inlaid doors with shaped glazing and ormolu mounts, and are flanked by marquetry inlaid pilasters with caryatid ormolu mounts. It is all supported on a moulded base and shaped enclosed plinth.
