Palissy Majolica Octopus Plate

Object Description

Unidentified French French Palissy Majolica plate which features an octopus, turtles, fish, frogs, lizards, snakes, fish and lilies. Colouration: blue, green, grey, are predominant. Bears an impressed makers mark, ‘R.H.’ of unknown origin and a pattern number, ’20’.

Object Condition

Good. A few flakes to the rim. A few tiny flakes to the centre. RESTORATION. Filled chip to the rim. Retouched flakes to the centre.
