Object Description
This fine antique bronze sculpture is made from patinated bronze featuring parcel gilt highlights, which accentuate the dramatic moment that the work depicts. The sculpture captures the the moment that the Greek hero Perseus frees the princess Andromeda.. Modelled as full length mythological figures, they are set on naturalistic circular base, which is signed ‘L. Grégoire’.
