The carpet’s focal point is a compelling central panel showcasing the Mina Khani floral lattice pattern. Each motif shines in hues of maroon, light blue, red and beige against the cream-coloured background.
A vibrant red border, elaborately embellished with intricate floral patterns mirroring those in the central panel, encircles this centerpiece. These designs include the iconic boteh and traditional Persian ‘gul’ motifs, octagonal flowers. Two patterned friezes frame this border on the inside and outside, their dark blue backdrop providing depth to the border. The outermost frieze is defined by a miniature ottoman flower and leaf patterned frieze set against a cream backdrop.
The carpet’s intricate motifs reveal the superior handweaving techniques employed, every thread reinforcing its profound impact.
