This impressive piece is the larger format of the dining tables originally designed for use at Punjab University. Measuring 244 cm in length, it comfortably seats ten and exemplifies the robust elegance of Jeanneret’s utilitarian aesthetic.
Crafted from solid teak with a banded edge and a plated teak insert, the table features a beautifully aged patina throughout. The top appears to float atop two architecturally striking, split-form legs—each carved from solid teak—giving the piece both visual lightness and structural integrity.
As with many of Jeanneret’s designs, it is as practical as it is beautiful. Whether used as a dining table or a substantial work surface, it brings presence and functionality to any interior.
This piece has been professionally restored and is ready for everyday use. The legs are removable, making the table easier to move within a building and safe to crate and transport.
