Object Description
This very good quality crested Victorian silver pierced wine coaster was made in London in 1851 by Robert Garrard and measures 5.5 inches in dia and is decorated around the sides with a cut out scroll design and has a shaped and gadrooned border, the wooden base has a silver boss where there is an unusual crest and it is marked with the makers mark and lion passant, it is also fully and clearly hallmarked to the base rim and is in very good condition from an excellent maker.
