Object Description
A superb Queen Anne period silver laceback trefid spoon made circa 1704 by Richard Sweet III of Honiton in Devon.
For same mark with same workman’s stamp see example in picture purchased by Honiton Museum , which is not as fine and crisply decorated as this example.
The spoon bears betrothal initials and is an excellent example.
Avery rare and fine West Country spoon.
