Object Description

RAF oak cased dial clock, the solid oak case with lower and side access doors, both case and movement signed for Elliott.

The 12-inch painted dial has a golden patina to it. It bears the King’s crown RAF crest within a circle, and with black Roman numerals and bold brass hands.

The spun brass bezel is fitted with convex glass.

The eight day movement with tapered plates, is signed for F.W. Elliott Ltd., and numbered 2730. It has a cylindrical bob pendulum.

Object History

FW Elliott were founded in 1923 in Croydon, England and made large numbers of clocks for the RAF in the 1930/1940s.

Object Condition

Overhauled and guaranteed for 3 years.
