Isfahan, the ancient capital of Persia, was the creative hub of amazing Persian art and textiles during the 17th century Safavafid period and Isfahan rugs lay claim to this proud tradition. Many of the court quality carpets that survive today are attributed to Isfahan.
It is in very good condition, still retaining its original fringes and selvedges on all sides.
