Object Description
Circa 1760. A rare and unusual early George III mahogany lowboy or side
table, the dished rectangular top in finely figured mahogany with re-entrant
corners, the front with a full-length drawer with the original cast brass
axe-head drop handles, the drawer, sides and back with a slight chamfer on
them, the shaped frieze with a teardrop in the center, curved on all sides,
resting on four elegant cabriole legs with solid quarter blocks and
finishing with a shaped foot, recently repolished traditionally.
