Object Description
Circa 1800. Rare George III mahogany library/reading table. The rectangular top in figured Spanish mahogany with an adjustable writing or reading surface with embossed leather covering which is adjustable from 27 inches to 37 inches maximum height. The table front has one faux and one frieze drawer with fine turned knobs and crosscut oak drawer linings, the sides and back with a combination of faux and real drawers. All supported on a ring turned tapering gun barrel stem with four splayed feet with original brass caps and castors. In excellent condition with lovely colour and patina.
