A very rare Georgian Druid Medallion, featuring a copper gilt roundel and starburst Georgian paste set in heavy silver, likely served for the Chief of the Druids from the late 18th Century possible associated with the Anglesey Order…Its design resonates with the style of the 1787 Penny Token (last picture) making it a remarkable artifact reflecting the Druids tradition of the era.
This will probably never be seen again, and more than likely be homed in a Private Collection.
