Rare Minton Majolica Figure with Baskets

Object Description

Minton Majolica dish which features a young male vintager, sat between two baskets. Colouration: brown, green, yellow, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Minton pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1863.

Object Condition

Generally Good. Tiny chip on bottom of waistcoat. RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to his left wrist. Stabilised and retouched crack to basket handle. Feet reglued and joins retouched.
