Object Description
This rare Provincial West Country laced back trefid spoon was made C1694 by Peter Rowe of Plymouth and measures 8.25 inches in length, it is marked on the back of the stem with the pin pricked date 1694 above the initials IR over IE and the makers mark, a partial rose and crown and an outline makers mark, it has a rat tail to the back of the bowl and has lacing wither side of the rat tail and also on the front of the stem, the bowl itself is of good shape and gauge and the spoon is in very good condition weighing 1.85 ounces or 57 grams.
