A Superb Quality Regency Period, 19th Century, Mahogany Dressing Side Table, Of Elegant Concave Form To Front, Having Well Figured Top Over Five Drawers With Replacement Brass Knobs, Raised On Extremely Elegant Turned Tapering Legs With Replacement Brass Castors.
This early 19th century regency period dressing table is incredibly elegant. The concave shape is not something which is commonly found and really adds to the piece. It is also constructed from high quality, rich, well figured mahogany timber.
A most functional piece of furniture indeed it is perfect for a whole host of different functions and spaces around the home, including of course its original purpose as a bedroom, or dressing room, table with a stool or chair pulled up to it and an elegant dressing table mirror on top.
Despite the brass knobs being replacements they work well on the table and very much add to the overall elegance and quality feel of the table. It also has replacement brass castors, but again they sit well on the table and are of the type which would originally have been in place.
The side table has received an inspection by our highly skilled, specialist antique furniture restorers in our workshops, as well as a traditional wax polish before being offered for sale, ensuring that it is ready for immediate placement into the home or office.
