An Extremely Fine Early 19th Century, Regency Period, Mahogany Hall Console Table, Or Pier Table, Of Breakfronted Form And Rare Diminutive Proportions, Having Superbly Figured Top With Crossbanded Decoration Over Attractive Inlaid Frieze, Raised On Exceptionally Elegant Turned Tapering Legs With Reeded Decoration.

This charming little table is incredibly elegant and such a perfect size to be utilised abslutely anywhere around the home as it is so practical. The obvious place for it is of course a hallway owing to its narrow proportion, however we can envisage it in a living room, study, dining room, landing or even a bedroom, due to its sheer elegance and practicality.

Overall the quality is very good, constructed using rich mahogany veneers which have been purposefully layed to show off their figuring the best way possible. The breakfronted shape adds additional elegance, as does the wonderful legs which are very much after a design featured in the Gillows of Lancaster reference books.

As with all items which we offer for sale this wonderful little table has been inspected and attended to in our workshops by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish before being placed on sale ensuring that it is presented in the best possible condition and is ready for immediate placement within the home after purchase.
