Object Description
Regency mahogany antique Pembroke table made by Gilllow of Lancester and London. This table has it all, wonderful fiddleback mahogany, drawers both sides (no false drawers on this one), original handles, two lopers each side, safety catch to stop lopers being pushed back inadvertently, proper Gillow leg (with reeding, vase shape base, double ring turn at the top), mahogany lined drawers, precision dove tails and really good colour and patina. This is a very fine example of the best of English cabinetmaking, from the best English cabinetmaker, during the finest period of the age of mahogany.
