Object Description
An Extremely Good Quality Regency Period, Early 19th Century, Mahogany Wine Table Having Well Figured Circular Top, Raised On Exceptionally Elegant Reverse Tapered Spiral Twist Carved Turned Column, Terminating With Triform Base And Original Iron Paw Feet.
Relatively typical in form for the period in which it was made this lovely little regency wine table is incredibly elegant and constructed from good quality mahogany timbers. The top is well figured and also relatively thin, which in combination with the small but useful size and the beautifully carved column creates a great looking piece of regency furniture. The iron feet are also quite an unusual, but attractive feature.
The perfect size for an absolute host of spaces around the home, it is both beautiful and practical. It would work just as well alongside a sofa or library chair in the living room to place a drinks glass on top of, as it would in the drawing room with a lamp perched atop as a regency lamp table, or even in the bedroom as a regency bedside table.
As with all our items this table has been attended to in our worksops by our highly trained, skilled, traditional antique furniture restorers, before being offered for sale, meaning it has received any work required to ensure it is ready to place straight into the home, including a natural wax polish.
