Object Description
A framed collection of 61 intaglios / plaster medallions representing ancient Roman and Greek artefacts, philosophers, writers etc including the Capitoline Lion, Romulus, Remus and others. These are typical items which a young man would have collected whilst on The Grand Tour in the early 19th century.
These are all housed in a four tier box with a glazed lid.
